Treatment

How online pink eye care works

Pink eye can be viral, bacterial, or allergic, and each is treated differently. A video visit can help your provider look at common causes of pink eye and decide whether treatment or an in-person eye exam is needed.

  • A licensed Tennessee provider examines your eye by video and reviews your symptoms
  • Antibiotic drops are prescribed when a bacterial infection is likely
  • Guidance for viral and allergic pink eye, which drops help and which don't
  • Advice on keeping it from spreading through your household, plus school or work notes

Billed self-pay

$52 is our same-day discount: pay on the day of your visit and that flat rate is all you pay. If you choose to be billed instead of using the same-day discount, the visit is billed at $150, never both. Includes 48–72 hour follow-up care. HSA/FSA and most major insurance plans accepted.

Know when to go in

When in-person care is the safer choice

For emergencies, call 911. If you have severe or urgent symptoms that may need in-person care, go to your local urgent care or emergency department. Examples include:

  • Something stuck in your eye, or the feeling that something is stuck
  • Severe eye pain
  • An eye swollen shut
  • Significant changes in your vision
  • Significant light sensitivity
  • A chemical splash
  • Symptoms in a newborn

These are examples, not a complete list. If your provider determines that telehealth isn't the right level of care for your symptoms and sends you for in-person evaluation, you won't be charged for the TPH visit.
